Running Off Cliffs in the South of France

In case you missed it, a few weeks ago, I traveled to the South of France to unwind, eat foie gras and drink my weight in wine. When I returned from this unforgettable trip, my body carried an extra 10 pounds reflecting the utter success of the trip (good job Lex).

This week, I'll highlight some of these adventures to share my love of France and hopefully, inspire others to live bolder by doing things you've never done.

For those that know me, you know that I am a complete coward when it comes to adventure, especially those requiring extreme heights, speed and anything that involves adrenaline. So naturally, on my first day in France, I chose to conquer ALL those things.

I went paragliding.

This means ... I ran off a cliff with a stranger 🙈

Guys - this activity taught me that scary could also be life-changing (in the most fabulous sense of the word). I remember the fear that engulfed me before my little feet began lifting off...I literally thought I was going to die. Okay...okay...I'm a tad dramatic BUT it was terrifying. But, after the initial shock, it became the the single most AMAZING thing I've done EVER.

I flew over the most beautiful turquoise water in the South of France and felt an immense sense of pride in knowing that I chose to conquer something that, I honestly, never thought I could.

Running off cliffs is not for everyone and I'm not telling you to pick up a new hobby BUT I hope this little anecdote will inspire you to do something that scares you. Amazing is right around the corner and all you have to do is choose to follow it.
